OUR SECOND PUBLIC RELEASE · VERSION 2.1
A new chapter
for your hanging habit.
Get the update from the App Store.
The same small practice, with more ways to make it yours. Built for people starting with just an iPhone, and those ready to put their Watch or compatible AirPods to work.
Compatible AirPods timing
Tap to arm, nod to start, shake to end. Optional spoken time and breathing cues let you follow a hang without looking at your phone. If head gestures are unavailable, use the manual timer.
A simpler Watch session
Tap the circle to arm. Grab the bar to start timing, let go to finish, or hold to cancel. Your phone can mirror the active hang.
A clearer view of progress
Review saved hangs, personal records and goals. Supported Watch sessions can include average and peak heart rate when readings are available; partial coverage is explained.
Optional analytics, off by default
Two independent choices let you share app diagnostics or exercise analytics. Both start off, including after upgrading. Declining them keeps workout features available.
Care for the upgrade
This update preserves existing hang history and settings. First-launch Watch timing and delayed session delivery were exercised during release testing.
Which setup fits?
| Setup | Start / finish | Apple Health |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone only | Start → Stop → Save | Local app history only |
| Apple Watch | Tap to arm → hang → let go | Supported workouts, with permission |
| Compatible AirPods | Tap to arm → nod → shake | Supported workout paths, with permission |
Head-gesture support varies. The app checks compatibility; manual timing remains available. See the App Store listing for operating-system requirements.
Already using Hang Habit?
Update through the App Store. Keep your existing installation so its saved history stays in place, and update the paired Watch app too. Analytics settings in 2.1 do not erase data sent by earlier versions.
